Sorry it took me a few days! I struggle w podcasts -- want it all, but can't find time for any of it. Recent road trips have helped with that ...

We're in the last year of our 20s. I think you should start now. If you start writing your novel(s), I'll leave grad school. (Which is what I plan to this year because of funding.)

I had no idea you ran cross country in high school. I'm never running with you again. Yet, you've inspiring thoughts of running I never had before. Mainly, why do I run?

I always thought it was to keep my lonjas down, but something has happened over the course of the last eight months that has reshaped my idea of running. I truly believe there are things I'm exposed to when I'm out sweating that I wouldn't be exposed to otherwise. I get most of my photography ideas from my runs. "Oh. I need to come back and photograph that." Probably wouldn't capture as much as I do if it weren't for the routes I take. Also, I find that running in a new city every month helps establish my rhythm there. I don't feel homesick when I'm running. In fact, I feel like a local when I'm jetting around street corners, hopping over dog shit and sprinting down a curbside.

Crazy, I was just updating my podcasts as your comment came in. I posted a screenshot to Flickr. Will you do the same?

Great post! Inspiring.

On another note -- how about a screenshot of your podcast line-up? Very curious to see the full selection after your recent mentions.
