Timothy McSweeney passed away a couple weeks ago. all these years of reading McSweeney's and I never knew the story behind the name.

Feeling a little targeted, are we?
I saw this a while ago – the first thing that came to mind was Oso in Colombia, with his shiny, then-new iPhone, running around like a headless chicken trying to get it to work.
I’m actually polishing up my survival skills: baking bread, cooking from scratch, making clothing, repairing tools to be able to actually make it in the rural farm world. Actually, I´d move there, but with internet: that way I can always check which are the best chicken brees for my climate, and what food I should give them to have low cholesterol eggs.
I’d be lying if I said that this was the first thing on the internet that has made me laugh in a long time… but it was very good.
