Back in cold Montreal... This Tsy Haiko song ... why in the world do you have to write such posts with such heartbreaking songs? before I burst into tears from nostalgia : All the Foko say "Hello" to Mr David. From Tamatave to Antsirabe they are very very thankful for what all the Rising Voices are doing for them. We hope to make you guyz proud.

Lova,

Bob Baldwin is great. I found him in a US library years ago. That's how long I've been wanting to get to Madagascar. Your loyal fans in Tana are waiting for 'Papa Foko' to come back. ;)

Steven,

Remember, I don't jog - that's you - I run. And who needs GPS when you have an iPhne?

Sipakv,

Being able to visit FOKO was an honor. I will definitely have to make my way back soon. Hope we can all hang out there together.

Thank you for visiting FOKO, David. For the duration of your post, I imagined myself a teenager again and sauntering the streets of Antananarivo, although I never had much chance to taste those gut wrenching whiskeys.
And we hope you come back soon !

Strange. I use sauntering as a mode of transportation and I go for aimless walks to accomplish what you call sauntering. Although, I don't 'walk' so much as hover a few inches off the ground.

One young not-so-gentle-man tried that maneuver on me three times in a row, to which I was compelled to warn him: “homeboy, you try that one more time and we gonna be practicing our kung fu.”

If your Kung-Fu is anything like your jogging, that would've been one very, very entertaining fight to watch, in much the same way we rubberneck at bad traffic accidents as we pass them on the highway.

And of always remembering where you turn.

Three words for you, hermanito: gee pee ess.
