I remember that after the first half of second grade the girls figured out what was going on and started wearing shorts under their skirts. Obviously, we were devastated.

The mumble is an Arab saying which translates to: Look at how ugly the saddle is on the cow!! (cows? saddles? get it?)

My cousin would turn to me and whisper this every time she saw anyone wearing anything expensive!
