Cheer Down

Before meeting Mari – whose sister is a cheerleader for the Dallas Mavericks – I had never really considered cheerleading as a profession or industry. Truth be told, I never really thought about cheerleading at all.

Today – after three internetless days camping – I’ve been arrowing through my RSS feeds like a madman, trying to catch up on the deluge of info. My mouth fell open when I came across this:

cheerleaders

Jen is also helpful enough to explain that cheerleaders are judged on “facials,” which according to About.com is commonly mispelled (by the cheerleaders I assume) as “facails.”

And, yes, the only reason I’m posting this is to use the keywords “cheerleaders” and “facials” which will bring an extra million viewers to our humble abode.

    Dirty Oso.

I’ve been to plenty of athletic events where cheerleaders are present and their facials never manage to make the game more exciting or help the team win. I can understand smiles and wide eyes, but some of those looks are bordering on deranged.

By the way, I watched But I’m a Cheerleader over the weekend. Isa was walking in and out of the room during a lesbian love scene and accused of me watching lesbian porn. Oh yeah, Isa is sick.

Was that “oh yeah” like “rad, oh yeah”?

    HP,

Thanks man, that comment alone sent another 2,000 lost porn-seekers our way.
