I’m seriously blown away. I just got done talking with Eduardo who was on a slow conection in Manta, Ecuador and then Neha who was just starting her day in England.
The connections were crystal clear.

Google talk?!
I found out from Oso that Google now has a chat capability. It’s in beta (of course) and is called Google Talk. Another way Google can take over the world! Seriously, though . . . I went ahead and set up a gmail address specifically for this.

This is yet another reason why your blog is one of my favorites. I always get caught up on the latest, or sometimes not so latest but latest to me, technology out there.

Note, if you use a client that can connect to jabber (like GAIM), you don’t even have to install google talk to IM with google talk users. You can just set up a new account on your multi-protocol/jabber client…

Booo, yo ya no juego! Apparently, Google Talk only works with Tiger. I don’t have Tiger on my Manzanita. And I don’t use any of the other Jibber Jabber clients. So, I guess you won’t be hearing my whiney ass voice asking you for a podcast.
Btw, if any body wants to chat with their favorite conservative, hopefully that is me, my google talk name (…and yahoo IM name, and AOL name, and MSN name) is, surprise, HispanicPundit…who would have guessed?
Sounds really really cool. I’ve downloaded the google talk program and have a previous invite for gmail which I can use for the talk thingie (though I’ll keep my domain email). I’ll run out this weekend and get me a mic for the laptop. I need a wifi card too so I’ll pick them both up. When I do, I’ll let you know my google name and I’ll try to catch a few of you online some time. Just don’t laugh at my REALLY strong southern accent.
