Apostrophes are used to indicate contractions or possession. Your explanation of "people's" makes no sense to me. If you had written "peoples", indicating a plural (as in more than one group of people), I could understand.

Glad to know you were just punning around with "rap"!

I love visiting your blog and seeing where mine ranks in your list of links! Every day a new position. What does it all mean, Alfie?
Seriously, I would hardly rate linkage if I didn't contribute, and the coin of my realm is the English language, which, ah, I believe you said you are teaching ... ? So, we were amused at your use of the possessive apostrophe in "my people's" (your people's WHAT?) And, while you may consider your posting as rapping, when you end it, it's a "wrap".

My morning consited of happily upgrading my iTunes and playing with it. Podcasting is the way of the future and definately a new way to communicate (for web geeks like us) with one another. Blogging allows us the opportunity to delve into the minds, the thoughts, ideas, and opinions of others, I think Podcasts will blow that in another dimension. I don't miss PCs one bit, and I refuse to ever buy one, like, ever. I hate Dell. When I studied for my A + exam, I had to dissect a Dell and I really wanted to spit at it, but well, that would have gotten me fired. Although, I quit my job, so the firing doesn't really matter, but why am I telling you this? It's inconsequential, pero ya lo tecle, so ayi esta.

Ah, y Oso, if you y tu girlfriend ever decide to visit Austin or if me and my girl ever decide to get our gringo butts down there we are so grabbing a couple a beers and calling it a scrabble night, eh. :) This may happen soon around August/September 'cos I got a family wedding to go to down there. So, start reading your dictionaries—it's gonna be fierce.

I suck at Gin Rummy.

i recently decided to buy a new laptop and went with an hp compaq. i simply got to much bang for my buck as compared to a new mac .. especially considering they're going the way of intel soon anyway which will be a major headache ... anyway .. i do still like itunes and it's certainly more convenient having podcasting built in ... wonder how long it will take for microsoft to do the same for windows media player?? funny how much nicer the wmp is on windows vs the mac version. it's actually about as good as itunes. as for the widgets stuff ... i've just not been able to get into it. i'm a traditionalist and have had my desktop icons in virtually the same design up and down the borders for years. perhaps, though, i'm just getting old an unbending in my ways.
