Bloggercorps needs time, thought, perseverance, and the right tools in order to work well. And you're right about everybody being overstretched with too many projects. I myself will either have to find a way to devote the time and energy needed to get this thing off the ground, or hand over leadership to somebody who is able to. I've been trying to work out what I think is the hurdles this effort will have to overcome. One of them, quite frankly, is the format. Nonprofits who don't have the savvy to set-up their own blog may not come across this blog-based outreach effort. Additionally, it seems that nonprofits will need a tangible reason to engage.
