Gawd damn. Now that was a debate. That was a fucking boxing match. And I don’t think it’s a difficult decision: Kerry T.K.O.
But you’ve got to admit, Bush put up a good fight. He carried much more confidence than last debate.
I was disappointed that Kerry didn’t peg Bush on the latest job growth stats for September which were a big hit to Bush and company.
And I think Kerry’s statement about Bush’s supposed “timber company” (has anyone found info on this?) will get a lot of spin amongst conservatives.
I wasn’t even sure if I was going to watch the debates tonight ’cause I was so disappointed by the last one, but I’m glad I did. Kerry really impressed me. He looked like someone ready to become president.
As usual, Wonkette has some classic commentary:
9:59 “BATTLING GREEN EYESHADES!!!!!” Acid flashback? Childhood nightmare?
Holy shit. Look at our Electoral Vote Predictor.
I’m going for a run. Ramone, let’s grab some drinks.

ABC News reported right after the debate Bush did own the timber company. Sweet sassy molassy that was sweet Kerry was right on that one.
bush is delusional … it’s just horrid how he can not admit to one single mistake his administration has made
i was flipping between cable news feeds immediatiely afterwards and was floored when one of MSNBC’s supposedly-objective pundits declared the debate a knockout… for *Bush*! I’m usually fairly conditioned towards the idiocy of media heads, but that caught me entirely off guard as both sadly hilarious and hilariously sad. I wouldn’t say that Kerry knocked Dub out, but you’re swimming in a tank of ludicrous one-sided ignorance if you think Bush did any better than a shaky draw.
I was a bit taken aback by Bush in that one. He seemed to be getting a bit angry and excited, didn’t he? Was it tactical, or does he really have no control over himself?
