Tonight marks my first experience in interactive, instantaneous media. I’ll be blogging my thoughts and reactions during tonight’s presidential debate on foreign policy at 6 p.m. (Pacific Time). I hope that Moreno and Abogado do the same and I hope you do as well - I have a feeling most of the conversation will take place in a comment thread.
I will also be monitoring other political blogs to see what their reactions are and linking to them as the debate goes on.
Here are some pre-debate links:

- The Washington Post’s Dan Froomkin hopes that “Bloggers Unite to Fact-Check the Debate”
- The Washington Post is accepting votes for your favorite political and election blogs of 2004
- Sunday’s NY Times Magazine cover story was dedicated to how blogs and bloggers are effecting this presidential campaign (the photo of Wonkette is from the story)
- Wonkette says things aren’t going so smooth down in Miami this morning
- Wonkette cites the Chicago Tribune about a drinking game for tonight’s debate. Me and the boys will be in on this one.
- Joshua Micah Marshall tells how MSNBC pulled the plug on GOP pollster Frank Luntz in tonight’s debate coverage
- Metafilter reveals how the AP has already written their Debate summary before it even started. (they since took it down)
- Technorati’s Election Watch 2004 shows you what prominent political bloggers have been linking to
- Glenn Reynolds predicts that, save a major screw-up, the media will spin in Kerry’s favor
Alright … I’m off for a run, a swim, a library trip and then down to PB to catch the debate. Someone better be there to let me in god damnit.

once again, oso, i’m going to have disappoint you and report that i will be doing everything in my power not to watch the debates. i can already tell you what each candidate is going to say, and i dont want to be tempted to vote for Nader after seeing what a moron john kerry is. I saw a clip of him being intervied by Diane Sawyer on the Daily Show, and it was hilarious. The guy is a jackass…and your link to “Top 10 Secrets About The Debate” didn’t help either. these debates, like the presidential race, are a joke. i do look forward to reading your comments, tho.
