Over the last four weeks I have been enlightened to the inner workings of the American judicial system. It is a nuanced, brilliant manifestation of thousands of the greatest minds over the centuries working to perfect a system of justice unmatched in the world.
I imagine most of you will take me at my word here, but another thing I have learned is that nothing should be presumed without evidence. As such, I present you with exhibit #1: Mayo vs. Satan. Unfortunately, this case has been overlooked by legal scholars for far too long. Mayo is a case that deserves serious attention, and when the class action suit finally gains acceptance, I for one will be among the plaintiffs.
If that is not enough, for the skeptics out there I present exhibit #2, which will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the American judicial system represents everything that is great about this country: Bradshaw vs. Phillips is truly one of the great decisions in the history of the law. If there is a more brilliant judge out there than Mr. Kent I surely have not read him.
So, take heart in knowing that the American judicial system is alive and well, flourishing through the work of the intellectual excellence of the greatest minds in the world and butressed by an equally amazing population comprised of characters of exceeding legal acumen.

The best part of law school is that the cases we get to read are hilarious. It leaves me optimistic that I won’t lose my sense of humor after three years of law school.
I see these new billboards up around town:
Then again if my name was mayo I’d probably feel resentful enough to sue the anti-christ myself. Reminds me of that Johnny Cash song.
