Hombre Quemado

Burning Man is right around the corner and just like the past few years, many of my friends are going but I am not. I have always wanted to see just what it’s all about - and this years’ theme is right up my alley - but I simply can’t justify the $250 - $350 ticket price (yes I realize it is cheaper if you buy your tickets earlier).

Anyway, my friend John emailed me some census stats from last year’s festival that I thought were interesting:

Seems about right. A common complaint about burning man is that it does not represent enough racial, social, and ecconomic differences. Not going to change soon though - biggest contributor of people is San Fran, and you need enough money for a ticket (165-350) and travel/supplies to get out there.
