Custom Concern

“I wake up just about noon, my head sends a message for me to reach for my shoes, and then walk. Gotta go to work, gotta go to work, gotta have a job”

This quote from Isaac Brock sums up my life here pretty well, except for the part about walking to my job. I woke up today to the awful sounds of construction being done outside our apartment building. At first I got out of bed and looked downstairs at my roomates to see if they were making the racket; it was just that loud inside. Anyway, it was noon so i figured i should be waking up now and do whatever it is I’ve been doing here for the past week and a half.

Right now my life consists of unpacking/straightening out my room, scouring the Voice and Craig’s List for jobs, eating Cheerios, and walking to the 99 cent store down the street with Freddie. It’s incredible hot here, although I suppose anything would be considered incredibly hot when you’ve lived in Southern California most of your life. I’d say its about 90 degrees here, but I am really bad with my measurements.

Yesterday Freddie, Jake, and myself went to the rooftop to watch the sun set over Manhattan. It disappeared behind the smog and left a nice glow hovering over the city.

I’m going back to sleep, this three hour time difference is killing me.
