Ausencia

Ok, El Oso has frozen all my assets (liquid and solid) until I start posting again, so here it is! In all it’s feigned glory!

Sorry about the absence, but I’ve been “busy” with some “stuff” if you catch my drift.

I just saw this move by Todd Solonz called “Happiness” released in 1998. Boy was this movie fucked up. I don’t want to write too much analyzing the movie, but I will tell you that it’s about a group of people and their quest to achieve “happiness.” Todd Solonz is pretty messed up. He did that movie “Welcome to the Dollhouse” which, for those of you who have seen it, is the equivalent of getting your head fucked repeatedly. And this movie is no better/worse. Any movie that ends with an 11-year old boy masturbating, his dog licking up the come and then licking the boy’s mother on the lips deserves an “A” in my book. Now if only I had a book…

I’ll tell you who does have a book, thats my good friend Josh Grubaugh. I don’t know if he has a nom de plume yet, but if not may I suggest Leroy Cockenstock? Anyway, I am currently in the process of reading a first draft of his book and I’m really proud of him. I always wanted my friends to express themselves more artistically and I’m always happy when one does. There was a period of time where I was trying to convince Josh to be a stand-up comedian, I kept saying how hilarious it would be for him to get wasted drunk and in front of a microphone, but he never bought it. He apparently didn’t find the many nights in which he would get wasted drunk and spew out hilarious things as entertaining as i did. I think it might have had something to do with him quitting drinking. I guess he valued his happiness more than being a professional stand-up (for those of you who don’t know, stand-ups are miserable people. Just look at Gallagher…poor guy). Anyway, kudos to Josh.

Speaking of stand-up comics, my girl Priya and I went to see Sarah Silverman and Zach Galifianakis this weekend, they were hilarious. For those of you who don’t know, Zach had a short-lived late-nite talk show on VH1 which was an anomaly in itself (quality entertainment on vh1?!) Anyway, the show was cancelled and Zach spiralled into a nightmare of alcohol and depression, but hey he’s a hilarious stand-up. check out his website at www.zachgalifianakis.com - its much better than this crap.
Sarah Silverman is great too, despite the fact that she’s dating Jimmy Kimmel. Both her and Zach have a unique style of delivering their jokes, brilliant.

Speaking of brilliant, I am going to watch a documentary on Noam Chomsky that I’m sure will solidify my belief that this man is Jesus part 2. For those of you who disagree with me, feel free to fuck off. Don’t mess with the Chom. Expect another detailed and thorough review of this movie in the days to come.

And on that note I will leave you all. Kudos to me for my brilliant segways and transitions. Kudos!!
