There’s no doubt about it, if you want to visit San Diego during a festive time it should be late April, early May. First there is the Encinitas Street Fair, then Art Walk and Earth Day. Then there is Coachella and Adam’s Avenue Roots Festival. Then Cinco de Mayo and finally to top off the drunkeness, PB Block Party, where I’m headed to for a couple hours before heading to work.
Luckily the rest of May and June offer a “party at your own pace” rhythm to cure your hangover until the fourth of July - when patriotism becomes the most fitting excuse to tap a keg.
