Palolem

hello all of el oso. Currently sitting on the amazing beach village of Palolem in south Goa. It is easily one of the most amazing beaches I have seen or will likely ever see. After a hellish night in Bombay, I met up with a very cool potpourri of Europeans representing Portugal, England, France, Germany and Italy. Wolfgang (the German - go figure) and I headed down to Palolem yesterday from Baga and Calungute, another pair of amazing beaches with endless beach shacks serving fresh seafood and cheap beer (Kingfisher by far being the best). I will be in Goa for another 2-3 days, then off to the Hampi followed by the caves of allora and ajunta, though leaving the comfort of my $3 beach hut may prove more difficult than expected. Pictures and updates to come.

Does India even have another type of beer besides Kingfisher? How many rupees does a bottle go for these days? Laura manda saludos - nos vamos con anne a un concierto este viernes. Cuidate.

India has approximately 397 kinds of beer. At least that is where I am at so far  Actually King’s has supplanted Kingfisher as my new favorite. You can expect to pay about 30 rupees (75 cents) for a good bottle.

You learn something new everyday. I checked out this site about Palolem. Place looks pretty tight. They call it part of Goa’s “hippie beaches.”

So, I was curious enough to check out a forum on Indian Beer in which the consensus seems to be for Cobra. Have you tried it? I expect a full report on the finest Indian brews soon. Keep the posts coming.
