I shamelessly admit that ever since I started this new hobby of blogging, I have hardly read any books except those related to work. Given my economic situation, I’m a relatively lavish spender when it comes to books, and right now there’s a whole stack of new, unopened books lying on my desk, just crying and pleading to be read. Nor have I even watched any of my Netflix DVD’s for the past few weeks. Hence, I’ve resolved to cancel my Netflix subscription and try to divert some of my blogging hours to reading. For example, right now I should be sitting on my bed, peacefully reading myself to sleep, rather than sitting here in front of this god-damned computer, which I seem to have on as long as I’m awake, typing away yet another meaningless entry to this farcical extension of my mundane life that I call a blog. By the time I’m done with this and power off my computer, it will be too late and I will simply turn off the lights and slip into bed with pangs of guilt, possibly burying myself under the covers to stifle the protests and laments of my abandoned pile of books. OK, enough said, I’m turning this damned thing off.

I have been just as bad, constantly reading other blogs, typing away, and tweaking with design; the whole time thinking, ‘just five more minutes and I’ll lay down and read.’ ‘Just five more minutes …”
