I thought I read a lot, but amongst bloggers that doesn’t seem to be the case. Here is a link to Reality Fuel, a forum that is asking just about anyone to read 50 books this year and to write out the list as well as what you thought about them on the forum. Since January 1st on this is where I’m at:
1.) Mercy Among the Children by David Adams Richards
2.) The Zapatista Reader edited by Tom Hayden
3.)Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor
and currently reading:
4.)The History of the United States of America by Philip Jenkins
5.)The Sound and the Fury by Robert Faulkner
I’ll try to post reviews about all of them by the end of the week.

Oso,
Heavy reading list. There is reading to compete in some kind of speed race (which is what many of those people at Reality Fuel seem to be doing) and then there are those that read to enjoy the experience and take time to reflect.
I always wanted to read “Rain of Gold” …
Actually, yes. I enjoyed The Sound and the Fury. Had to read some parts more than once, but when you get a feel for the way the story goes it is quite entertaining.
You’re a better man than I am my friend. I’m only 50 pages into it right now and I have to keep reading passages over to keep my eyes from glazing over, but we’ll see how it goes. I’ll write about it when I finish.
